Why go for psychotherapy/counselling?Research indicates that most people have experienced deep emotional difficulty at some point in their life. And that at least one in four adults will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. Everyone needs someone to talk to, and many people benefit from the wise, caring support of a trained and experienced professional. Research also indicates that people who receive psychotherapy will continue to improve and benefit after therapy ends. Along with reducing symptoms, therapy also helps you understand yourself and your underlying issues, break familiar cycles and make decisions in your life that can provide healing, growth, and positive change.

It is also a time where you discuss what you would like to get from coming to therapy and the time frame involved for this. You can get a sense of my style of working and whether you would like to continue to see me.
